Stocks are lower on Thursday, with the S & P 500 down by about 0.5% and the Nasdaq falling about 1%.
It's the fourth down session in the past five for the S & P 500.
Bonds and oil prices continued to weigh on the market.
After finding some relief on Wednesday following the Treasury Department's intervention in long-dated bonds , yields spiked Thursday, erasing all of the prior day's slide.
